This compact itinerary ascends steadily to maximize summit chances while using huts for comfort. Daily trekking builds altitude gradually – listen to your body and follow "pole pole" (slowly slowly) pacing.
Your guide collects you from your Moshi hotel after breakfast and gear check. Drive to Marangu Gate (~1 hour) for registration. Trek through lush rainforest (monkeys, birds) to Mandara Hut.
Afternoon arrival for rest, dinner and briefing. First night in huts.
Leave rainforest behind, enter moorland with giant lobelias/senecios. Steady climb with views of Kibo and Mawenzi peaks. Reach Horombo Hut for acclimatization rest.
Excellent spot to adjust to altitude – drink plenty of water.
Ascend through alpine desert to Kibo Hut. Rocky terrain, thinner air – "pole pole" pace essential. Arrive afternoon for rest and early dinner before midnight summit push.
Prepare gear and sleep early.
Midnight start for summit push (6–8 hours up). Reach Gilman's Point/Stella Point at dawn, then Uhuru Peak sunrise. Celebrate, photos, then descend to Horombo Hut.
Long but rewarding day – celebrate your achievement!
Final descent through moorland and rainforest to Marangu Gate. Certificates, farewells, then transfer to Moshi hotel for rest/shower/celebration.
End of services – full of summit memories!
