This balanced 4-day itinerary combines the vast Serengeti plains with the unique Ngorongoro Crater. Every day includes morning and afternoon game drives – the best times for wildlife action.
Your guide picks you up from your hotel in Arusha or Moshi (or Kilimanjaro Airport) around 07:00. Scenic drive via Ngorongoro Conservation Area with a short viewpoint stop (weather permitting). Enter Serengeti around midday and begin your first game drive en route to camp/lodge.
Afternoon drive offers excellent chances to see big cats, elephants, giraffes and plains game as the sun sets over the endless plains.
Early morning game drive (06:00–10:00) – prime time for predators. Return for breakfast and rest, then afternoon drive (15:00–18:30). Seronera region is famous for big cats: lion prides, leopards in trees, cheetah hunts and hyenas. River crossings possible during migration season.
Morning game drive in Serengeti (06:00–10:00) to catch anything missed. Breakfast at camp, then drive to Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Descend into the crater floor for a full afternoon game drive – one of the highest wildlife densities in Africa. Spot black rhinos, lions, flamingos, elephants and more.
