This compact itinerary maximizes wildlife viewing time while keeping travel comfortable. Every day includes morning and afternoon game drives – the best times to see predators and action.
Your guide collects you from your hotel in Arusha or Moshi (or directly from Kilimanjaro Airport) around 07:00. Enjoy a scenic drive through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area with a short viewpoint stop (weather permitting).
You enter Serengeti National Park around midday and start your first game drive en route to your camp or lodge. This afternoon is excellent for spotting big cats, elephants, giraffes and herds of plains game as the sun begins to set over the vast plains.
Early morning game drive (06:00–10:00) – the golden hour when predators are most active. Return to camp for breakfast and a short rest during the midday heat, then head out again for the afternoon drive (15:00–18:30).
The Seronera region is one of the best areas in Africa for big cat sightings. You have excellent chances of seeing lion prides, leopards resting in trees, cheetahs hunting, hyenas, and hippo pools along the river. River crossings are possible during migration season.
One final early morning game drive (06:00–09:30) to catch anything you may have missed – perhaps a leopard or a rhino. Breakfast at camp, then depart Serengeti.
Scenic drive back to Arusha or Moshi with lunch en route. You arrive late afternoon and are dropped off at your hotel or the airport – full of incredible memories from the Serengeti.
