This efficient itinerary covers two iconic parks in just three days. Private or small-group options available, with morning and afternoon game drives each full day.
Your guide collects you from your hotel in Arusha or Moshi (or Kilimanjaro Airport) around 07:30. Scenic drive to Tarangire National Park (approx. 2–3 hours).
Enter the park and begin your first game drive en route to your lodge or camp. Tarangire is famous for its massive elephant herds, giant baobab trees, and excellent dry-season wildlife viewing along the Tarangire River.
Early morning game drive in Tarangire (06:00–09:30) – excellent for spotting lions, leopards, giraffes, zebras and more elephants. Breakfast at camp/lodge, then depart for Ngorongoro Conservation Area.
Afternoon descend into the Ngorongoro Crater – a natural enclosure with the highest concentration of Big Five in Africa. Look for black rhinos, lion prides, flamingos on Lake Magadi, and hyenas.
Final early morning game drive in the Ngorongoro Crater (06:00–10:00) – chance to see anything missed the previous day, such as elusive rhinos or a lion kill. Breakfast at lodge, then depart.
Scenic drive back to Arusha or Moshi with lunch en route. Arrive late afternoon – dropped at your hotel or airport, filled with incredible memories from Tarangire and Ngorongoro.
